During the manufacturing process, Kelptex uses an estimated quantity of 1.5 liters of water per kilo of biofabric produced, as opposed to the industry standard of 200 liters per kilo.
Kelptex does not use any toxic chemicals, petroleum-based derivates or plasticizers in its production and finishing processes. This reduces micro plastic pollution, does not cause harmful algae blooms and enables the water used in the process to be continuously recycled and reused, with no environmental damage to communities or the planet.
Further, Kelptex can be recycled to create feed stock for new bio fabric production. This creates a closed-loop system for the fashion industry.
